Maui Open Studios is celebrating their 10th year! We’re happy to be joining for 2020 and hope you will make a plan to visit us in the studio. The past year has been one of so much growth and change in my art. We’ve had shows at Enchantress Gallery in Wailea, shows in LA, and a deep dive into abstract painting!

The Maui Mermaid Extravaganza was a raging success! It was incredibly fun and fulfilling to create this event that showcased my recent glitter and mermaid inspiration that took over my studio! So many Maui Mermaids-kids and adults alike, enjoyed it and I loved sharing the Aloha with them.

Calling all mermaids, mermen, goddesses of the sea, and mermangels! Join Mermine, the Mermaid Crone for the inaugural Maui Mermaid Extravaganza, hosted by the Enchantress Gallery by Bootzie in The Shops at Wailea.

The Bootzie Gallery is moving to The Shops at Wailea and has a new name: Enchantress Gallery. I’ve been busily working on the upcoming Mermaid Show they are planning. I have been inspired to expand and explore new and different mermaids. I have been having so much fun adding more beads and glitter and feathers and texture. An old Hawaiian Kupuna once told me that mermaids are my ‘Aumakua (the Hawaiian term for ‘spirit animal’).

Thank you to Bootzie and Jim for hosting this gallery opening for me - what a great way to celebrate my 70 years here on earth. We had well over 100 people attend, and, according to Jim Freeborn Welch (one of the gallery owners) it was the largest opening he's seen on Maui in 27 years in the business!
