December Arrives Again

What a year we’ve had! So many pandemic ups and downs, and yet, life goes on. Over here in the studio on Maui, we’ve been blessed to have some “quiet time” on the beaches as tourists stayed home for their health and ours, too. As we love to say so frequently here in Hawai‘i, “Mahalo!” (Thank you!)

Being able to explore the energies and inspirations in this year of “Color as Curative” has been insightful as well as inspirational. A little secret: I tried to embrace beige last month and failed. Yes, beige is a color and one that supports calm as well as providing a backdrop to more colorful art! But as for painting with it myself, I learned it is not for me. Learning to be true to oneself seems to be a task many of us pursue at all stages of life and I’m glad to put that experiment to rest!

In case you are doing some introspection as we approach the Winter Solstice, I’m sharing some of our favorite quotes from this past year. I hope you find at least one that speaks to you! I’d love to hear more, so drop me an email if you’re inclined.

I want to express many more mahalos to you for reading my art blog and sharing the love of color. May 2022 bring us all pleasurable surprises , hope, and healing for whomever you long to become! ❤️
